I love that it's only 2 p.m. and I've already:
- made this vegan French toast recipe. For the record, it turned out awesome, although the baguette was possibly a bit too stale and I had to saw through it like a block of wood to make slices. But once I soaked the slices they softened up just fine.
- dropped off three bags of junk at Salvation Army. I could never be a hoarder. I love getting rid of clutter way too much.
- browsed at a couple Bloor West vintage furniture shops.
- picked up some chalkboard paint and painting supplies, so I can paint a chalkboard wall this afternoon.
- bought coffee beans, cinnamon sticks, vanilla beans, star anise, cloves and whole nutmeg so I can try out this flavoured coffee recipe. I'm making two batches, one for my dad for his birthday and one for my cousin's housewarming brunch tomorrow.
My plans for the rest of the day include painting said chalkboard wall, making the flavoured coffee, tearing into my loaner copy of
Breaking Bad S2 and, if I have enough time, starting to assemble the two Billy bookcases I had delivered last night.
To paraphrase Homer Simpson: Could this be the most productive Saturday of my life?
